File size

The target is a maximum, not an exact size. If it cannot be met at the selected dimensions, we tell you; we never reduce pixels silently.

What this result means

For example, a 2000 × 3000 JPEG already has a valid pixel size and keeps it. The official instructions also require a commercial photographer and a file saved directly from the unaltered camera original. Picrdy checks technical output only, not submission eligibility.

MADE TO BE SIMPLE

Three steps. One ready-to-use file.

  1. Choose a photo from your device.
  2. Get a recommended compression automatically, or choose a size, scale, print or document task.
  3. Check the actual result and download. For a specific KB limit, choose that option first.

Frequently asked questions

Which pixels and bytes are checked?

The online-renewal aid checks a portrait 2:3 JPEG, 1200–3000 × 1800–4500 pixels and 200 KB–5 MB.

Does a technical pass mean it will be accepted?

No. The tool cannot verify the subject, lighting, photographer or application eligibility. Read the official instructions.

Can I use an edited camera photo?

The official instructions call for a file saved directly from the unaltered camera original and a commercial photographer. This tool does not verify origin.

A few practical limits

One still photo at a time. HEIC, GIF, animated PNG/WebP and unusual color workflows are not supported. Up to 8192 px per side, 24 MP input, 16 MP output, 25 MB input. Smaller photos work better on phones.
